In the field of motor vehicles, it is known to have a structural box made by a lower part forming the base of the body and an upper part constituting the superstructure.
It is known to reduce development costs, to use the same type of structural box to achieve either a private vehicle with multiple rows of seats, or a utility vehicle with a row of seats extended to the rear by a space of loading.
In order to preserve the occupants of the commercial vehicle from any injury that may be produced by the load during an impact, it is customary to install a partition wall. Such a partition extends transversely to the vehicle to delineate the passenger compartment of the cargo space.
Given the fact that such a partition is not necessary in the design of a private vehicle made on the same typology of structural box, such a partition must be reported fixed on the structural fund by appropriate means .
Given international standards for regulating the polluting emissions emitted by the operation of a vehicle, it is known that such a partition can be made of plastic.
It is also known that a partition wall may comprise a movable part, for example rotating, on a fixed part of the partition to create an access path between the passenger compartment and the cargo space. Such an access path can then be used for the loading of object of length greater than that of the loading space. One of the disadvantages noted to allow the object to encroach into the passenger compartment is the need for retraction or tilting of at least one front passenger seat. By thus condemning at least one of the passenger seats, the need for such access is reduced because often the professional using such a vehicle also wants to maintain the transport capacity of the occupants of the vehicle. It is in this environment that the object of the invention appeared. The object of the invention consists in a vehicle separation device intended to create a safety partition between a passenger compartment and a loading space, comprising at least one fixed main partition and at least one secondary partition mounted to rotate relative to the main partition fixed by means of a hinge means, the secondary partition in the open position to create a total opening between the passenger compartment and the cargo space.
Advantageously, the separation device of the invention has a secondary partition which comprises at least one main portion extending over the entire height of the adjacent main partition and a lateral end portion rotatably connected around the main portion. of the secondary partition, the lateral end portion in the open position to create a partial passage between the passenger compartment and the cargo space.
Such a secondary partition makes it possible to split the access passage between the passenger compartment and the loading space according to at least one total opening and one partial opening.
Advantageously and in a nonlimiting manner, the separation device comprises one of the following characteristics, taken separately or in combination with one another: the fixed main partition may be made of plastic material and comprises a stiffening element intended to connect an upper crossmember at a lower crossmember of a floor, - the fixed main partition may be made from a tubular structure and at least one solid plate or a grid wall made of steel; said first articulation means comprises at least one hinge connected to the stiffening element, preferably two hinges arranged near upper and lower ends of said stiffening element; it comprises at least one locking system intended to block the lateral end portion with respect to the main portion of the secondary partition, in at least two blocking states of the lateral end portion, in particular including the closed positions and opening; - The secondary partition comprises a locking system for blocking all or part of the secondary partition according to at least one blocking state including in particular the closed position; - The secondary partition comprises a locking system for blocking all or part of the secondary partition in at least two blocking states including in particular the closed and open positions; - The lateral end portion has a width less than that of the main portion of the secondary partition, preferably a width between one third and half the width of the main portion of the secondary partition; the secondary partition may comprise a tubular structure of mechano-welded type, to which a grid is attached; - The secondary partition may comprise a tubular structure on which is reported a cladding made of steel or from a plastic material; the locking system is arranged at the interface between the secondary partition and a roof top rail, a lower floor rail, or a seat. The invention also relates to a vehicle comprising a structural body delimiting a passage between a passenger compartment and a loading space, said passage being delimited by side body edges interconnected by top and bottom crosspieces of floor, the vehicle comprising a separation device having any of the above-mentioned features.
The vehicle is remarkable in that all or part of the rotationally mounted secondary partition makes it possible to create a total or partial passage between the passenger compartment and a loading space, depending on the opening position of the secondary partition or the portion of the lateral end. This makes it possible to adapt the access opening between the passenger compartment and the loading space according to the geometry of the object to be transported.
According to the invention, the vehicle comprises a passenger seat movable laterally between positions of distance and of approaching a driver's seat, in its approaching position, the lateral end portion can pivot from its closed position to its position. opening position to create a partial passage between the passenger compartment and the loading space, the lateral end portion in its open position extending longitudinally along the passenger seat previously moved laterally of the driver's seat, the locking system being partly achieved by a frame of the passenger seat.
According to the invention, the vehicle is equipped with a foldable passenger seat so that the secondary partition can pivot from its closed position to its open position to create a total passage between the passenger compartment and the space loading, the secondary partition in its open position extending longitudinally along the driver's seat, the locking system being partly achieved by the passenger seat back in its position away from the driver's seat, the passenger seat having been previously folded.
The vehicle according to the invention may comprise a modular bench seat between total use and storage positions in all or part, the lateral end portion being pivotable from its closed position to its open position to create a passage partial between the passenger compartment and the loading space when the bench is in its partial storage position, the locking system being partly achieved by a frame of the bench.
The vehicle according to the invention is also remarkable in that the secondary partition can pivot from its closed position to its open position, the secondary partition in its open position extending longitudinally along the driver's seat, the system locking being partially achieved by a back of a passenger seat then placed in a storage position. Other features and advantages of the invention will appear on reading the following description of a particular embodiment of the invention, given by way of indication but not limitation, with reference to the appended figures in which: Figure 1 is a schematic view of the rear of a separation device for a motor vehicle according to the invention; FIG. 2 is a diagrammatic view of the rear of an alternative embodiment of the separating device of FIG. 1; FIG. 3 is a diagrammatic view, from the side, of the separation device in an open position; total, according to the invention, - Figure 4 shows schematically, seen from the side, the separation device in a partial open position, according to the invention - - Figures 5a, 5b and 5c show schematically, according to views from above, different possible configuration of arrangement of the separation device with respect to seats.
The description which follows is made with reference to a trihedron X, Y and Z conventionally associated with a motor vehicle, wherein X is the longitudinal direction of the front-rear vehicle rearward, Y is the right-left transverse direction at vehicle, which is horizontal and perpendicular to X, directed to the right, and Z is the vertical direction directed to the top. In addition, the terms "front", "rear", "right", "left", "horizontal", "vertical", "upper" and "lower" are relative to the vehicle or to a part of it and are defined by relative to the direction of movement of the vehicle.
Referring to Figure 1, which shows in a rear view, a device 1 of separation which comprises two distinct parts, one fixed on the left named main partition 10 and the other, named secondary partition 20, is located here right of the main partition, is movable relative to the latter.
Preferably, for reasons of lightness, the main partition 10 is made from a plastic material. According to security constraints, the main partition 10 can be reinforced for example with fiberglass.
The main partition 10 preferably extends with respect to the driver's seat. For this purpose, the main partition 10 comprises stiffening grooves, for example made by molding, which aim to increase its resistance to deformation.
The main partition 10 is fixedly connected to the structural box by its peripheral edge. Preferably, the assembly is made reversible and consists of the use of fastening means by screwing or the use of snap type quick fastening means for example. The peripheral edge of the main partition 10 overlaps elements of the structural box 30, in particular an upper roof crossbar 31 visible in FIGS. 3 and 4, a lower floor cross member 32 and unrepresented body sides. .
The inner side edge of the main bulkhead 10 is attached to a stiffening member 11 which connects the roof top rail 31 to a lower bottom rail 32. Such a stiffening element 11 is for example attached by screwing on the structural box 30.
According to an alternative embodiment, the stiffening element is integrated with the main partition 10 and can be a beam obtained directly by molding the main partition 10. For example, the structural box 30 and the main partition 10 comprise apertures, which in pairs are intended to be arranged coaxially so as to house a screw-type fastening element therein.
The separation device 1 comprises a secondary partition 20 mounted to rotate relative to the main partition 10.
Preferably, the secondary partition 20 comprises a tubular structure of mechano-welded type, on which is reported a grid fixed by welding.
According to alternative embodiments, a covering made from a steel plate or a plastic material may be attached to the tubular structure.
Thus the secondary partition 20 can pivot about a vertical sensing axis between a closed position and an open position to create a passage between the passenger compartment and the cargo space. This advantageously makes it possible to load bulky objects at a time in an area of the passenger compartment and in the loading space.
In its closed position, the secondary partition 20 extends transversely to the vehicle at the lateral extension of the main partition 10 as is made visible in Figures 1, 2 and 5a. In the closed position, the peripheral edge of the separating device 1 can be located at the right of body elements including the structural body or a body part that can be coated with a trim lining. For example, the outer lateral edge of the secondary partition 20 may be in the closed position arranged in part to the right of the foot in its lower portion, said amount of foot can then extend partially in a vertical projection off the floor or vertically between the floor and the roof. By way of example, the outer lateral edge of the secondary partition 20 may be in the closed position arranged partly at the right of at least one side door or a body side.
According to an arrangement of the main partition 10 on the vehicle body, the contour thus formed by the main partition 10 and the vehicle body delimits a frame through which the secondary partition 20 is adapted to extend to close the passage that the framework defines. Thus, in its open position, the secondary partition 20 allows to create a total passage through the frame.
Advantageously, the secondary partition 20 comprises a main portion 21 extending over the entire height of the main partition 10 adjacent and a lateral end portion 22 may extend laterally to the extension of the main portion 21. As a for example, the lateral end portion 22 has a width less than that of the main portion 21 of the secondary partition (20), preferably a width between one third and one half of the width of the main portion 21 of the secondary partition 20.
Given that the secondary partition 20 in the open state requires the folding of the passenger seat, which becomes temporarily unusable, the lateral end portion 22 is movable relative to the main portion 21. It becomes possible from the very beginning partially open the passage delimited by the aforementioned framework.
According to the embodiment of FIG. 1, the lateral end portion 22 extends over the entire height of the main portion 21 of the secondary partition 20 so that, in the open state, the portion lateral end 22 makes a partial passage between the passenger compartment and the loading space extending over almost the entire height of the vehicle body.
According to an alternative embodiment of FIG. 2, the lateral end portion 22 extends vertically only over part of the height of the main portion 21 of the secondary partition 20 so that in the open state , the lateral end portion 22 makes a partial passage in a lower zone of the secondary partition 20. In this case, the lateral end portion can be described as an access door since it allows to create a passage of limited access that can be bounded laterally by the partial amount of the center pillar.
Whatever the embodiment of the lateral end portion 22, it is rotatably connected to the main portion 21 by a suitable hinge means 40. By way of example, it may be upper and lower hinges respectively arranged at the upper and lower ends of an inner peripheral edge of the lateral end portion 22.
The main portion 21 may be rotatably mounted by means of these same articulation means 40, here made by upper and lower hinges respectively disposed at the upper and lower ends of an inner peripheral edge of the main portion 21 Preferably, such hinges are disposed at the level of the stiffening element 11 on which is fixed the main partition 10, near the upper and lower ends of said stiffening element.
A locking system 50 may be used to rotationally block the secondary partition 20 with respect to the main partition 10. The locking system 50 can then be embodied as a striker attached to the main partition 10, for example directly on the stiffening element 11, and a movable bolt that can be moved manually.
A locking system 50 can also be used to rotationally block the lateral end portion 22 with respect to the main portion 21 of the secondary partition 20. The locking system 50 can then be a set consisting of a striker and a latch. a mobile bolt that can be moved manually. In this case one of the striker and the bolt can be mounted on the main portion 21, the other being mounted on the lateral end portion 22.
Preferably, said locking system is used to rotationally block the secondary partition 20 or the lateral end portion 22 respectively with respect to the main partition 10 or the main portion 21 in at least one intermediate opening position.
In the fully open position of the secondary partition 20, it extends substantially perpendicular to the main partition 10 as is visible in Figures 3 and 5b.
In order also to block rotation of the secondary partition 20, retractable fingers 51 may be arranged at the interface of the tubular structure of the secondary partition 20 and the structural box 30 in order to make a mechanical connection between them in the closed position. of the secondary partition 20, as can be seen in FIGS. 1 and 2.
Retractable fingers 51 may also be arranged at the interface of the tubular structure of the secondary partition 20 and the passenger seat 5 in order to make a mechanical connection between them in the open position of the secondary partition 2, as can be seen in Figure 3.
Advantageously, each of said fingers in the deployed state is intended to engage with a receiving recess dedicated thereto. By way of example, the retractable fingers 51 are fixed to the structure of the secondary partition 20 so that in their deployed position they project out of the partition 20 in order to engage in a receiving recess provided on the structural body 30 of the vehicle or on one of the seats arranged in the passenger compartment 2 of the vehicle. More particularly, the recess is made at the roof top cross member 31, bottom rail 32, or in a passenger seat.
As can be seen in FIG. 3, the passenger seat 5 has been folded according to a tilting around a Y axis of rotation of the backrest on the seat.
The passenger seat which can move laterally to be positioned in close proximity to the driver's seat 4, or conversely to be remote from the driver's seat, is in the open position of the secondary partition 20 of FIG. its position away from the driver's seat as shown in Figure 5b. In its position of removal, there is a gap d between the seats 4 and 5, such a difference being visible in FIGS. 5a and 5b which diagrammatically represent respectively the configuration of the separation device in a total closure and in an opening total.
The retractable fingers 51 projecting out of the lower edges of the main portion 21 and the lateral end portion 22 thus engage with receiving recesses in the passenger seat back.
In the fully open position of the lateral end portion 22, the latter extends substantially perpendicularly to the main portion 21 of the secondary partition 22, as is visible in FIGS. 4 and 5c. In this open position, the passenger seat has been previously brought closer to the driver's seat 4, so that the passenger seat adjoins the driver's seat 4, as can be seen in FIG. 5c. This advantageously makes it possible to keep the passenger seat accessible while allowing the object to be transported in the passenger compartment. In this configuration, the lateral end portion extends parallel to the passenger seat, more particularly in front of the lateral edge of the seat back 5.
In order to lock in its open position, the retractable finger 51 projecting out of the lower edge of the lateral end portion 22 engages with a dedicated receiving recess and made in the frame of the passenger seat as can be seen in FIG. 5c.
The vehicle equipped with the separation device described above is remarkable in that it makes it possible to create a total or partial passage according to the open position of the secondary partition 20 or of the lateral end portion 22. It thus becomes possible to keep the seat 5 accessible to the transport of a passenger even in the case of loading object in the passenger compartment 2 of the vehicle.
